Reykjavik- Starting pin

Main city in Iceland! Shopping, restaurants, and tons of places to stay.

1. Hveragerdi- Gray Pin

Cute little town with a secret hot springs hike! Well a hot river hike...

2. Seljandlandsfoss- White Pin

One of the most popular waterfalls, with a trail to hike behind it!

3. Seljavallalaug- Green Pin

Incredible hike through a hidden valley to a seemingly abandoned pool in the mountains. The pool is geothermally heated!

4. Skogafoss- Purple Pin

Approximately a 200ft waterfall, and one of Iceland's most famous. The rainbow is almost always visible.

5. DC 3 Plane Crash- Yellow Pin

Abandoned plane in the middle of nowhere, however... it's a long hike to get to and from the middle of nowhere.

6. Dyrholaey- Red Pin

Gorgeous nature conservation park, very close to Vik, but not as highly visited by tourists.

7. Vik- Blue Pin

The infamous black sand beach created by volcanic ash. This beautiful town, however, will be completely wiped out after the eruption of nearby volcano Katla.

Hey! I've always wanted to visit Iceland, and your pictures are great and make me want to go even more! Did you do any boat trips? I'd love to do some whale watching. Thanks for sharing, X

We didn't do any boat trips, but I was told by a friend who also went that going on a boat tour of the glaciers was an amazing experience. There are a lot of whale watching/ puffin watching tours set in more accessible cities, so it'd be very easy to organize!
