Seven Oaks Lavender Farm is a purple heaven. My friend and I stopped for a brief visit on a Sunday afternoon and were surprised by how few people there were. It's the perfect place to take pictures, and has a cute little gift store with TONS of different lavender-based products.
I have finally lived my dream of going kayaking thanks to Downriver Canoe Company. We hiked from our car up the river on the Bluebell Trail, which took about 2 hours. Then we got in our kayaks and went back down the river for 3 hours. We were able to stop on sand banks and get out and swim along the way! On a Saturday morning the park was practically empty, we didn't see a single other person on the hike, and barely anyone on the river. By the time we docked and headed out the area was full of camping families and people heading out on inflatable tubes.
I'd recommend going out early to beat the crowds and the heat!
