Though I try to be prepared during all my hikes, especially solo hikes, I am very cautious while planning for rainy weather hikes. The weather can be unpredictable, and so can the trail. Here is a list of what I bring/ wear on "bad" weather hikes (bad in quotations because I actually enjoy these hikes).

Solid Shampoo can have tons of benefits, if you look carefully you can find brands that are vegan, cruelty-free, and chemical-free. The most common and toxic chemical in shampoo is the sulfate, and many organic shampoo bars don't contain this.
Another reason why shampoo bars are great is the travel-ability. A small block can last months, and doesn't break TSA's liquid travel rule. No more exploding or leaking tiny hotel shampoo bottles all over your suitcase. And with that, there's no need to carry a giant bottle around while backpacking or travelling- a small, lightweight block is all you need.
